Night Launch of WFPC II Mission
The mirror of the HST was ground
to the wrong shape. To get around
this problem, one of the instruments
on the HST was replaced. This was
the Wide Field Planetary Camera or
WFPC. The new version is called
WFPC II (pronounced "Wiff-Pick Two").
